Dr Ajay Sirohi
New Delhi

An anaesthesiologist by profession and an athlete by passion, he is currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. His fitness journey began in 2007 when he weighed 114 kg and decided to transform his lifestyle. From struggling to run a few hundred meters, he gradually became a marathon runner through dedication and consistency.

Inspired by Milind Soman completing an Ironman in 2015, he set his sights on achieving the same goal. During the COVID pandemic, he took up cycling and became a Super Randonneur, while also overcoming the challenge of learning swimming through persistent effort.

On 1st June 2025, in Hamburg, he achieved the prestigious Ironman title by completing a 3.8 km swim, 180 km cycling, and a full marathon of 42.2 km. He credits his success to the unwavering support of his family, friends, mentors, and colleagues, and believes that the qualities needed for an Ironman—consistency, focus, and resilience—are equally essential in professional and personal life.
