AORA & GARC 2026 “Hall of Fame” Competition & Awards
Rules and Regulations for Photography Competition for Anaesthesiologists
- Eligibility:
- The competition is open to all anaesthesiologists.
- Participants must be affiliated with an anaesthesiology department or organisation.
- Retired anaesthesiologists can apply.
- Theme and Categories:
- The competition will have multiple categories representing different genres of Photography.
- The specific categories should be clearly defined, such as “Landscapes, wildlife – Birds, Mammals, Macro, Astro & Creative Photography” themes.
- Participants can submit their photographs in one or more categories.
- Photography of pets, domesticated animals, or from zoos is not allowed and will be disqualified
- Submission Guidelines:
- Each participant may submit a maximum of 1 photograph per category (total of 6 entries per photographer).
- Photographs must be original and taken by the participant. RAW or NEF files will be asked if qualified for the final round at a later date. Failing to produce the RAW/NEF file will lead to disqualification.
- Basic editing is allowed. Any manipulation (e.g., changing background/sky) or use of AI will be disqualified.
- Images should be submitted in digital format (email to be shared later), preferably JPEG, with no names on the photographs.
- Participants must include a brief description/caption for each photograph explaining its relevance to the chosen category.
- Send your photographs to the email barc@drazam.com — 6 entries per photographer — across these categories:
- Landscapes
- Macro
- Birds
- Mammals
- Astro
- Creative Photography
- Deadline and Submission Process:
- The submission deadline will be clearly communicated well in advance.
- Participants will submit via a designated online platform or email address
- Clear guidelines on file size, resolution, and naming conventions will be provided.
- Last day for submission: 16th May, 2026.
- Judging and Selection:
- Judging panel: Mohan Thomas (Bangalore), Prakash Ramakrishnan (Coimbatore), Arun Kumar Krishnaiah (Bangalore) & Amit Rane (Mumbai )
- The judging panel consists of 4 experienced photography professionals.
- The judging criteria will be transparent, fair, and communicated to participants.
- Judges will evaluate creativity, technical quality, relevance to category, and overall impact.
- Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
- Intellectual Property and Usage Rights:
- Participants retain the copyright of their photographs.
- By submitting, participants grant the organisers a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the photographs for promotional and non-commercial purposes, with due credit to the photographer.
- Any usage beyond this scope requires explicit consent from the photographer.
- Winners and Prizes :
- Winners of each category will be announced on the Ganga platform and notified individually.
- Prizes will be decided by the organisers.
- There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards.
- Exhibition and Recognition :
- An exhibition/display of winning photographs will be held at ‘Hall of Fame Awards – Le Meridien ’.
- A total of 4 participants will get a chance to showcase their photographs at the Hall of Fame awards (in-person event).
- All participants, especially winners, will be recognised and acknowledged through certificates.
- Disqualification and Code of Conduct :
- Participants violating rules or engaging in unethical behaviour will be disqualified.
- The competition promotes respectful and professional conduct.
- In case of doubt, participants may be asked to produce an ID card.
- Modifications and Termination :
- The organisers reserve the right to modify or cancel the competition if unforeseen circumstances arise, with appropriate communication to participants.
